Bolon
Percussion/stringed instrument from Senegal, made from a large pumpkin shell and goats skin. It has typically three strings which are tuned by moving them up or down the wooden neck. The strings are plucked and the knuckles and fingers strike the top of the instruments body to produce both the low bass sound and high slaps.
